OBAMA HEALTH CARE AND BILL GIBBONS!

I'm in my middle fifties, and 60 is staring me in the face.
As I creep ever closer to that day when I 'belly-flop' into the abyss, death and health is becoming a preoccupation.
Obama care promises that when that 'magic' number (60) hits, a person will be ordered to engage a government-bureaucrat in END OF LIFE COUNSELLING.
My goodness! Our leader, Bill Gibbons, is 20 years over his limit! Is the new Health care going to classify him as a, 'useless-eater?'
Will he be encouraged to forgo medical treatment (to fix inevitable maladies), and instead be pumped up with pain killers?
Are our leaders aging-relatives going to have to submit to the same rules imposed on us, the great-unwashed? I think not...
I feel we are only a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Euthanasia Centers.
As the economy gets worse, not a few of us may willingly get in line. But, not all...
I'm enjoying the protests at the politicians' town meetings. It may or may not be too late.
My role-model is Bill Gibbons. "The woods are lovely dark and deep but he has promises to keep!"
I hope all of you readers send him a note of encouragement. - Joe Mack

Politicians Are All Working For The Same Owner

I think Obama's health plan is very appealing...to a person who is destitute. Certainly, 'something' is much better than nothing. And, during the election his most fervent supporters were the 'great-unwashed' along with the well to do progressive types who were actually very well washed, brain-washed.
That said, is the alternative any better?
Former Governor and professional wrestler recently said,
"Politicians are very much like the WWE. They argue and fight in public, but, it's a show. They are all working for the same owner."
If true, does it seem likely that the average citizen can have much influence with the 'shadowy figures behing the scenes?
For me, poltical commentary, as per our current players is (mostly) futile.
Better to wake up the sleep-walking citizens.
Yet, even that is problematic.
Through illegal-immigration and the dumbing down of children by Public education. How will it be possible to get enough informed people inspired to vote out their destroyers? Particularly as in a democracy, it's all a numbers game. And enough of us will never, ever get the word!
But, I digress...I was talking about Obama's health-plan.
Do you remember a saying, popular in the 1970's?

"Live simply so that others may simply live."

Who would have thought that in the land of plenty we ourselves may soon be looking for a way to , simply live?
My influence over the 'powers-that-be' may be limited. But, I can help me, mine and those whom inspire and help me! Perhaps in this way, self interest will ultimately be the most unselfish way to fix our fragmented society.
I can think of no more powerful force for good than the joining of good-people in advocacy of common interests.
Certainly, despite their protestations of altruism our destroyers are looking out for their own nefarious good.
Maybe the answer lay in saying no to them and yes to ourselves.
