The Populists Viewpoint By Bill Gibbons When a president, congressman, senator, or federal bureaucrat finishes his term in office or retires, he simply rides off into the sunset and lives high on the hog for the rest of his life at taxpayers’ expense. No matter how much damage he does as a PUBLIC SERVANT, he still rides away clean and has nothing to worry about as long as he lives. Is this the way it should be? NO! It should not be that way. SOMEBODY GET A ROPE Bill Clinton made a mess of our defenses and sold our military secrets to communist China, gave us NAFTA and CAFTA (which was the shafta) and rode off into the sunset and is now worth, as some have reported, over thirty million dollars, (that is $30,000,000.00) which he has received as a reward for his treasonous activities. He is enjoying the good life, while the rest of us face a dismal future for his activities while he was president. He should have decorated a tree instead of being allowed to ride off into the sunset. Are we being too radical for saying Clinton should be executed for his treason activities, what would you, giving the choice of his crimes, suggest? Let us examine George W. Bush and the Bush administration and see where they have taken us for the last eight years. This humble writer has been exposing corruption in politics for over fifty years, but never have we seen a man or a political party do the damage to this country, in such a short time, as George Bush and his crowd of ex-communist neocons have done. Remember that old saying, “If it walks like a duck, acts like a duck, and quakes like a duck, it must be a duck”? Well ALL that Bush has done as president smacks of pure communism. : The U.S. House of Representatives passed HR 1955 titled the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 (fortunately it never became law). This legislation is something we would expect from the blood-thirsty communist Joseph Stalin and not from a congress that has sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Only 20 congressmen had the courage to vote against this freedom-robbing legislation. This legislation can be used to trash the First Amendment. Gung-ho prosecutors can use this legislation to jail any one perceived to be a threat to the ruling regime. The US is the only nation with a freedom of speech amendment in their constitution and the politicians hate this restriction upon their ability to control all political thought. No commentator would have been safe, had this bill become law. (Update - ED, this bill never made it into law, but does show the weakness of our legislators and why they should ALL be voted out of office). ALL elected politicians, federal bureaucrats and military personnel are required to take an oath to uphold the Constitution. BUT, what happens when they do not obey the Constitution? Nothing happens! There is no one to enforce the law against violating the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND, the U .S. Constitution. Virtually all elected officials, bureaucrats and military personnel violate this law and nothing happens to them, they just ride off into the sunset, like the old hero in a western movie. But, to violate ones oath and do anything against the Constitution is a crime; and criminals deserve to be punished. But they have broken the law, the finest law in the world and there is no one to punish them. Does breaking the law make them criminals? A criminal is one who breaks a law and there is no law above the Supreme Law of the land, the U.S. Constitution. So why aren’t these criminal in jail; instead of riding off into the sunset as though they have done nothing wrong? George Bush left office, January 20, 2009 and rode off into the sunset with a huge pension, Secret Service protection for life, furnished with a fancy office and probably a library and will live in luxury that the rests of us can only dream about. But, has he really earned the right to do this? NO! What he has earned is a rope around his neck along with all those in his administration that have supported him and his insane administration and people said the Germans were crazy for putting up with Adolph Hitler. We can blame our lame-brain congress for allowing him to get away with this; and we need to make A CLEAN-SWEEP and sweep them all out of office as soon as we can. When I was younger and read about some of the revolutions in different third world countries, I did not understand why the winners executed so many of the bureaucrats in power. As I grew older and wiser in the ways of government, it was easy to see why so many were executed, because it made sense to punish them for what they had done to the people and to be sure that they did not return to power in the future, or be allowed to ride off into the sunset and live on all the money they had stolen. There are a few people that are working to bring Bush to trial and punish him for the crimes he has committed against; not only the American people, but the people in Iraq and Afghanistan. We wish them well in this noble project.
